STATION TOURS

Citizens, clubs, and schools are invited to book a tour of our fire station. During these tours, guests have an opportunity to meet the guys and gals who are dedicated to your safety. Learn about the Strathmore Fire Departments vehicles, boats and the firefighting equipment that your fire fighters use to protect our community and outlying areas. This is a great opportunity for guests to learn about fire safety from the firefighters who make it happen.

Booking a Tour

A minimum of two weeks’ notice is required to book a tour at the fire hall.  Tour time may be booked 5 day a week, with start times of 9:30 am; 1:30 pm. Station tours are 1 hour in length. In order to support needs of the firefighters, please do not arrive earlier than 5 minutes prior to the start of the tour. Due to restricted parking at the fire hall, carpooling or bus transportation is advised. Transportation must remain available on site as tours may be interrupted or cancelled on short notice due to a call. The maximum group size is 20 people, with a ratio of 1 adult per 4 children. Children must be a minimum of 4 years of age to participate. Please let us know when booking your tour, if anyone in your group requires special accommodation (wheelchairs). If your tour must be cancelled due to an emergency, the Strathmore Fire Department will reschedule an alternative date.

A minimum of two weeks’ notice is required to book a vehicle display. Vehicles will remain on site for a maximum of 2 hours. Events must have minimum of 35 people attending. When determining your site plan, please ensure that the emergency vehicle has an immediate exit way should they need to respond to an emergency.

Please note; Fire crews and apparatus are first and foremost an integral part of the Emergency Services team. We do not take apparatus out of service to support a display, and can be called upon to respond to an emergency at any time.

To book a tour or request a vehicle display. Contact the Strathmore Fire Hall at 403-934-3022 or email firehall@strathmore.ca, between business hours of 9am and 4pm.
